A bit of our Hotels history

The Hotels building comprises the guest house that was built at the turn of the century. The building was conceived of as one of a pair with the other opposite for the private use of a family related to the Duke of Clarence.

Our characterful hotel is located close to the town center with its shopping and restaurants, and is just a few minutes walk from Windsor Castle, Eton College and the River Thames. Legoland is just a short drive from the hotel.

Hotel Facilities

The Hotels facilities include a Licensed Bar, large screen cable TV and a Steam-Sauna.

For added convenience, a high speed internet terminal located within the lobby, is available for use by our guests for internet and email access without charge. For the benefit of guests with their own laptop computers, the Hotel has full WI-FI coverage providing wireless broadband internet, completely free of charge.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, digital Freeview television, hairdryer, radio alarm and tea-coffee making facilities.

Our Hotel has an excellent location being close to Windsor Castle, the railway station and other public transport as well as being easily accessible by the main roads that lead in and out of Windsor. These roads provide great links to other destinations such as Slough, Heathrow, London, Oxford and other surrounding towns. A direct and frequent train service operates from Windsor to London. With a journey time of only 40 minutes, the Clarence Hotel is an ideal base for day trips to central London. Oxford is less than an hour by car.

Due to our excellent location we are approximately a ten minute drive from Slough and a twenty five minute drive from Heathrow Airport, making the Clarence Hotel a great choice for business and travel accommodation.

Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures are also all within an easy distance from the Hotel.
